I suppose this is old news, but some people who have followed the saga might be interested. I have mastered my kitchen nemesis, the grilled cheese sandwich. No longer will I throw bread across the room in frustration. The sandwiches I made the other night were not only a breeze to make, but they were so perfectly done that the cheese was nearly liquid while the bread remained golden brown. The best grilled cheese I've ever eaten. So that's progress.
